Vela

Bookings and calendar holds

Vela proposes meeting times, drafts the invite, and waits for your OK.

When a contact asks for a meeting, Vela proposes 2–3 times from your calendar, drafts the reply, and stages the calendar invite. Nothing actually books until you click Approve.

The flow

  • Vela detects a booking-style message in your inbox.
  • It checks your calendar for free slots over the next 5 business days.
  • It drafts a reply offering 2–3 options.
  • After the contact picks one, Vela drafts the actual calendar invite and adds it to the Inbox for your approval.

Defaults you can change

Settings → Bookings controls:

  • Working hours (default 9am–5pm local time).
  • Buffer between meetings (default 15 mins).
  • Minimum notice (default 4 hours).
  • Default meeting length (default 30 mins).

Time zone handling

If the contact's signature contains a city/timezone hint, Vela offers times in their local zone. Otherwise it uses your workspace default.
