How to install

  1. 1Open this page on your Android phone, or scan the QR code above.
  2. 2Tap Download for Android. Chrome will ask you to confirm the download — that is normal for an app that does not come from the Play Store.
  3. 3Open the downloaded file. Android will ask permission to install apps from this source. Allow it for Chrome, then tap Install.
  4. 4Play Protect may show an "unknown app" warning. Tap More details, then Install anyway. Vela is signed with our own release key, shown below.
  5. 5Sign in with the same email and password you use for the Vela web app.

Verifying the download

Every Vela release is signed with the same key. Its SHA-256 fingerprint is:

On iPhone

The iPhone app is not available yet. Apple does not allow apps to be installed straight from a website in Australia, so an iPhone release has to go through Apple’s own distribution — we are working on it.

In the meantime, Vela runs well in Safari on iPhone. Open the web app, then tap Share and Add to Home Screen for a shortcut that opens full screen.
