Region
Every byte we store — DynamoDB, Lambda execution logs, Cognito user records, backups — lives in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2).
What about AI processing?
Vela uses Amazon Bedrock (Claude Sonnet, Anthropic) via the APAC inference profile, which keeps inference traffic inside Sydney + Tokyo + Melbourne regions. Your data is never sent to a US region.
Backups
Point-in-time recovery is enabled on our primary database with 35-day retention. Daily snapshots are encrypted and held in the same Sydney region.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, brokers, or analytics resellers.
- We do not use customer data to train any AI model.
